Hi all,
First of all I need to let you know that I'm pretty much a newbie at Linux. However, circumstances here at work require that I get up to speed in a relatively quick fashion. Any help would be most appreciated.
Now.. The immediate need.
I have two Linux boxes at a remote location. They are at a brand new ISP. I
am able to SSH into the mail server box but am unable (at this point) to log into the DNS box via SSH.
I'd like to get at my DNS box and I'm thinking that since both are connected together I could get into the second from the first while I am behind the router/firewall. Is this possible and if it is (I presume so) what command do I need to look at.
Also, once I get into the second box I want to double-check my net settings. So far I've looked at the following in VI.
1) /etc/hosts
2) /etc/HOSTNAME
3) /etc/sysconfig/network
4) /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
Anything else I should look at?
Thanks!!
Best,
DD
