Sometimes the best solution is the easiest one. OK.. one last question. If I leave myvfp.exe running all of the time and use a timer object to start and stop the directory polling, won't this use up a lot of system memory on my server. Or.... is there a way to minimize the hit?

>Thats what I do for an awful lot of tasks. Works well, there's really no major reason to turn it into a service though. Unless, not having to login or start and stop it manually is a priority, you could just leave it as an EXE with a timer object running.
