Yes and no. After my upgrade it only took a minute to bring over my test db. But, after the clean install... continue reading: in SuSE 7.3 the "install almost everything" option included PostgreSQL. In SuSE 8.0 that install option is not offered. So, after you choose 'standard + KDE + StarOffice', or what ever', you have to fire up the YaST2 Software option and install PostgreSQL. Then you have to log in as user postgres and do initdb to create the PostgreSQL database. Then you can use psql to log into template1 and add yourself as a superuser. Then, as yourself in your own account, you can createdb 'whatever'. Pgaccess will see it and you are off and running.
