>Yeah, lucky and careful are a good combination. BTW the article in Wired that's in this morning UT news (
http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,1282,52174,00.html) mentions that the Klez e-mail worm fakes the 'from' line using an address randomly selected from the recipient's own address book. Which explains why the person who contacted me thought they got it from me when in fact it came from somewhere else.

>BTW, thanks for the thoughtful and detailed response about SuSE, Mandrake and Lycoris last week. Wish I had time to play around with it, but since I don't at least I can learn something from reading about your experiences.
Well, I've finished playing with SuSE 8.0 using both the upgrade mode (from 7.3) and the clean install mode. I sadly report that my intial euphoria has greatly diminshed. It seems that most of the smooth sailing of my upgrade experience was because SuSE was relying on my configuration scripts and links. When I did a clean install neither my CDR nor my r128 acceleration came up. My Zip250 wouldn't mount. I explain more at the following URL:
http://linuxtoday.com/news_story.php3?ltsn=2002-05-01-009-26-RV-SS-0008That's the nice thing about Linux, there is more than one good distro out there. I plan to try Mandrake. I may even try RH. ;-) It has a good reputation, but so does SuSE for that matter. Like MS, it appears SuSE was pushing a release to generate more income, and didn't put their usual good engineering into it.
