>Great news! Out of curiosity, what was the reason for the delay? I've been doing some research learning more about why some VFP developers wait so long until they are upgrading to VFP 7.0 or have not done so yet.
In my case it's all down to priorities, and the fact that I and my fellow developers are the only ones who know anything about VFP (our managers don't!).
We are working on 1 major project at the moment that has 150 users spread amongst 7 servers, 70 PC's and 80 Laptops. Because this is the only ongoing project @ the moment, we haven't had the chance to start on a new project on VFP7, so my problem will be convincing management to buy in VFP7, upgrade the current VFP6 project and update the 150 PC's/Laptops - that is going to be time consuming and will no doubt push the project back a bit - and that's the last thing we intend to do!
Tell you what, give me some solid reasons that I can forward on to my managers to upgrade, and I will forward them on - not that I need convincing, I just need some better ammo in order to convince them, and I'm sure you will have better reasons than I can give :-)
Cheers
Kev
