While you already got a satisfactory answer, may I suggest you forget about ctod()? At least if you use VFP 6 or later, it is safer to create dates with date(nYear, nMonth, nDay).

If, OTOH, you are still forced to use VFP 5 (or earlier), ctod() seems to be the only viable option.
