While in a reply today I decided to get lazy and use the dynamic menu to eliminate the auto-quote from the message I was replying to.

In doing so I learned that the menu option is "dynamic" but the action is not. On clicking the option I was confromted with a message that the choice is governed by the setup so it would take effect only on the next message.

I guess that that is reasonable enough, but it does lead me to ask for a truly DYNAMIC option to remove the auto-quoted text from the message in progress and only the message in progress.

I think that this would be useful to all.
