Sergey,

The computer that has the error had an HP 870c driver installed under WinXP. The same driver was also installed on a Win98 machine. Works fine on the Win98 machine but on the WinXP the error persists. I changed the driver to HP 880c and the problem goes away. There is evidently a problem with the HP870c driver under WinXP.

Many thanks for your suggestion.....

>>I have a report that runs fine on 4 computers (report form preview), yet fails on a 5th with the error that "Detail band is too large to fit on page", error 1298. If you actually send the report to the printer, all 5 print out correctly.

>>Here is a breakdown of the computers:
>>1. Win98 450MZ 15" monitor at 1024x768 res. 131K ram- Report runs correctly
>>2. WinXP Home Edition 1.7GZ laptop at 1024x768 res. 1024k ram - Report runs correctly
>>3. Win98 266MZ 17" Monitor at 1024x768 res 65k ram - Report runs correctly
>>4. WinXP Prof Edition 1.2GZ laptop 1024x768 res 1024k ram - Report runs correctly
>>5. WinXP Home Edition 1.2GZ laptop 1024x768 res 512k ram - REPORT GIVES ERROR 1298
>>
>>There are other reports in the system, and ALL preview fine except this one....and only on the one computer.
>>
>>I might add that the detail band is 0.00 on the report in question. All information is printed in the page header band which is set to 10.1146. The footer band is 0.2813. The only other band is the title band which is set to 0.00.
>>
>>I have tried zapping and erasing the foxuser file on the machine that errors along with deleting any info from fields tag and tag2 in the .frx.......
>>
>>Anyone have any thoughts on what to look at next ?????
