I am reading the discussion, especially listening to Ken, and I would upgrade in a second. However, I wonder if someone could help me in my specific application scheme.
I have a real hit of an application - a mini ERP, with 200 users.
The data is sitting in DBC's on the server, (VFP6), the executable is on each client.
My upgrade frequency is from a few times a day to once a week.
I post the new executable to the server, then, any new instantiation of a client, checks if there is a new executable on the server, if there is, copies it down to the client, and switches to the new rev.
(This application is more in use then something we bought for $1 MIL)

My question is, can VFP6 dll's live harmoneously with VFP7 dll's so I could make a transparent switch?
