Ken;

Your answer to Mike seemed very strange and pointed as if there was something “going on” that I was not aware of. I just took your words to mean what they said without any thought of pre history. It has an entirely different meaning now. Thank you for the clarification! Ignorance is bliss and sometimes I am happy to be very blissful. Especially in this “lovely Silicon Valley”. Just thought of Carol Doda. Now there is a good example of Silicon in Action and properly used! It is nice to know that she is a San Francisco “original”!

I have always known you to be honest and hope you do not change. It is alright that you got a “hair cut” though!

Marketing and sales are “strange ducks” in my book. I will leave that thought where it is. A very good friend of mine with a Marketing Degree from UC Berkeley, said this to me about 10 years ago, “It does not matter what you know. If you cannot sell it, it has no value”! That is reality and all that goes along with it.

Have a good day and the best of luck to you and your endeavors.

Tom

>Michael Asherman created a petition last yeaer and made a ton of noise about Microsoft marketing of Visual FoxPro and spent a very long time doing so. Everyone is allowed to express their feelings, it is encouraged and helps overall community efforts and to meet customer demands. All I stated is that I was surprised that he took 9 months to upgrade to VFP 7.0.

>The more sales there are of VFP, the more marketing that will occur in the future and the more resources for the product development. I'm being very direct and honest with you and the community, probably more direct that you are use to from marketing, and I expect most people greatly appreciate that. I'm not under any pressure. We just want to help VFP developers as much as we can.
