CDX bloat is something that affects performance. Routine reindexing is prudent for tables that undergo lots of adds and deletes.

The size increase is significant to anyone that is pushing the file size limit on VFP. Although I'd strongly argue that VFP shouldn't be the datastore when it gets that large anyway, the data should be move to a server database.
