Jim,

There are time when I truly feel sorry for the developers of FoxPro. It seems that no matter what they do someone is always griping about it. Don't misunderstand... I truly understand that this is the way of life. I also understand that there are good, solid cases for both sides of many of these issues.

I'd bet that a good hearty

Thank you FoxPro Developers!!!!

now and again would help wash the other stuff down a lot more easily.

Should the product improve? Sure. Will it ever be perfect? Nahh.. Should people communicate more - or less - or just about the same? Dunno.. It's a Papa Bear, Mamma Bear & Baby Bear kind of thing in my eyes. One's too hot, one's too cold and one's just about right. Only trouble is some like it hot <g> and some like it cold...

Life's too short to get so wound up in some of these issues IMO. Today is the 9th anniversary of my watching my son take his last gasping breath while laying in the street in front of our old home. I can assure you that there are more important issues than CDX bloat. < bg >

I've reconciled myself to life as a result and what I usually do when faced with these earth-shattering issues as CDX bloat <g> is to ask myself, "What impact will this have had 20 years from now?" <s>

I apologize if I've offended anyone with these remarks even though I hope they might shock some of you into a more reasonable frame of mind... Argue away... <s>

But in the mean time let's all commit to being the absolute best we can be in outr profession and let's all revisit our committment to each other and our genuine desire to help each other. IOW, let's not let our strenuous discussion get out of hand to the point we forget the real reason we're here - which in my mind is to help each other be better at our craft.

Perspective people.. Perspective.. <s>

Do you think our dear friend Les Pinter is thinking about CDX bloat tonight? Rather than take up bandwith here beating this issue to death - take a minute and send him a note regarding his loss of his son this last week. I'll bet he's hurting a lot right now and would be thrilled to hear from those of you he hasn't already heard from. Go make him your friend... You will come away receiving more than you give. That's the kind of class act he is. <s>
