Take a look at the Opensource VFP classes at http://foxsocks.sourceforge.net. There's an anonymous FTP site for the sourcecode at ftp://ftp.usexpr.com/FoxSocksDev. It's free to use, includes support for email server authentication, you can modify the sourcecode all you want ... even down to the protocol level, and best of all is that it's community developed and maintained.
