With NT 4.0, SP5, as a minimum, has to be installed. With Win2K, the WSH is installed automatically.
What I do is check for the presence of the VBScript.RegExp key under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. If not present, it means that WSH 2.0 isn't installed. In this case, I install it automatically.
