>is MS happy with the # of developers upgrading to VFP 7?

I don't know if happy or not is the right question. Clearly there are some VFP developers who have not upgraded to VFP7 both online here on the UT and people who attend user groups, etc. The more upgrades that occur, the more resources that will be put on future efforts (product and marketing), so I do what I can to convince those existing VFP customers to upgrade who have not but sometimes they have interesting reasons why they don't. So I sometimes, but not often, ask VFP developers to help encourage those who have not yet upgraded to so.

Not many products have so many versions and people should realize that VFP at Microsoft is a business and what goes into the product in resources is based on sales and upgrades. I prefer not to go around saying that those VFP developers who have not upgraded to VFP 7.0 are not supporting VFP, but when you analyze the reality of resource dependency on it, you will see it is actually somewhat true. From the people I talk to who have not yet upgraded to VFP 7.0, it never related to VFP marketing but other decisions they factor in for deciding if and when to upgrade.
