Thanks for the reply- no dice tho'

* set focus to some other object
pplmain.tabs.browse.currentname.setfocus()
* set index order to last name
SELECT personel
SET order to 1
GO TOP
* refresh the grid
pplmain.tabs.browse.browseview.refresh()
pplmain.tabs.browse.browseview.setfocus()

I can see the "currentname" object flash so I know it got focus while we changed the order of the table... but the DANG grid still contains the un-sorted data...

Any other ideas?
