>I have AWARD BIOS. So, I can't help you. All I can tell is that you must reserve the IRQ for ISA bus. Usually, the IRQ 3 and 4 are reserved by default. For the others you must reserve them in order to be accepted by Windows. And I can tell you that it's not so obvious how to do it with an AWARD BIOS. Probably the same goes for AMI BIOS. :(

Hmmm, sounds like a problem I had when installing a second parallel port on my PC, and it turns out the problem was ENTIRELY Win95's fault. What happens is that if you let Win95 control the detection and configuration (as I like to call it, Auto-Luck), it will automatically set your BIOS to the settings it chooses, wether you like it or not. The best way is to disable Win95's option to automatically configure this device (by right-clicking on "My Computer" -> "Properties" -> "Device Manager" tab, then choose the device then click on "Properties"). At that point, there should be several tabs on the top of the active window. Choose "Resources" and unselect "Use automatic settings".

You can then click on the "Interupt Requsest" line in the box and then click on "Change setting" and enter the setting you want. It should then tell you if there are conflicts whit that setting, and if so, you must resolve that conflict.
