Questions regarding JMail.
Hello Steve,
I'm trying to use JMail personal v4.3. Because I'm not using the professional version, Dimac won't allow me to submit questions to their support crew.
I know you have no intention of becoming support for Dimac but I was wondering if you would have time to look at a couple problems I'm having.
1) I instantiate a Pop3 object and connect to the server. I'm able to access my message items, etc. However, when I disconnect (loPop.Disconnect) and then try to reconnect (I use the exact same connect string as I did the first time) I get an error. The error reads:
OLE IDispatch Exception code 0 from jmail.pop3: WSAGetLastError() returned 10038, socket operation on non-socket connecting to: pop3.postoffice.net:110. Connected. Logging on ...
Although it says Connected and Logging on ... at the end, it is not able to re-connect. Have you encountered this at all?
2) After instantiating a Pop3 object, I get the following error message if I try to access the Message items size property (loPop.Messages.Item(1).Size) on any plain text messages. The size property is there and filled for all other messages but the property doesn't even seem to exist for plain text messages.
OLE IDispatch Exception code 0 from jmail.message: WIN32Error. Code 87. The parameter is incorrect ...
Do you have any ideas on this? Does this work for you? (I'm sending messages to my mailbox via Outlook.)
Thanks for whatever help you can offer!
