>I seem to have some trouble finding a control in which I can display WMF files. I am a little perplexed since WMF is a native MS format. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Walter,

I've noticed that the IE 5.5 WebBrowser control can display BMP, DIB, and WMF files if you drag and drop them into the control. However, when I attempt to navigate to one of these file types, I encounter a download dialog, and I can't get the browser control itself to open the file. From Windows Explorer (under Win2K Pro), if I select such a file and right click to Open With..., when I choose Internet Explorer there's a brief flash and nothing happens.

I suspect that there must be some way to fix this by fiddling with registry settings, but I haven't yet looked into it. It would be interesting to know if anyone has figured out how to configure IE to work properly for viewing these file types.
