Hi Mike:

You mentioned about alternate meanings of control keys. In my example I cannot use NKEYCODE = 3 && CTRL + C, NKEYCODE = 5 && CTRL + E, NKEYCODE = 18 && CTRL + R and NKEYCODE = 24 && ctrl + X because they conflict with arrow up/down or PageUp/Down keys. If I could just use OKL's I would be able to get around this but I can't with Nkeycode and I am surprised to find the duplication of keycodes. I tried to use ALT + Key combinations instead of CTRL + Key combinations and I found that the ALT + Key combinations don't work at all with Nkeycode.

I don't use Visual Maxframe so this is not an issue for me.

I tried setting the LockScreen to .t. but for the type of thing I am trying to do, it doesn't make any difference, in fact I think it flashes more quickly with Lockscreen set to .f.

Anyway I am going to stay with what I have because it works fast even though nKeycode has a number of shortcomings.

I notice that you have been involved with the Toronto Foxpro Group. Is the group still active? I wouldn't mind coming to a few meetings just to meet other VFP types in the area. If you have a meeting can you add me to the distribution list? My email is doncaster@sympatico.ca
