>In a stable application users normally care most about performance than new features. I have an application with one of the active tables increases by 2000 - 3000 records daily. Currently it is running in VFP5 and I was planing to convert to VFP7. Performance is the deciding factor. I was amazed that the performance 'mainly' queries took in average as follows:
> VFP5 (Sec) VFP7
> 2.13 4.7
> 16.20 24.23
> 4.70 7.83
>The test was done in the same environment for both versions.
>I used diffrerent setup of hardware configuration of PIII and P4 and the results was always VFP7 is slower then VFP5 by about 80%.

Rasheed,
Your scores seem to be high for any version. What are the table sizes, field counts, reccounts, CPU and RAM, SQL ?
