Make sure that you have all of your most recent files that you wish to distribute in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98\Wizards\PDWizard\ReDist folder. I ran into this where I had MDAC 2.6 SP_1 installed on my design PC but my setup packagaes were deploying MDAC 2.5. Once I put MDAC 2.6 SP_1 (mdac_typ.exe) into the ReDist folder and overwrote the existing one, i ws able to rebuild my packagaes and everything worked the way it should.
