We're using SQL 6.5 and every day we get many errors like this in the error
log:

(date/time) ods Error : 17824, Severity: 10, State: 0
(date/time) ods Unable to write to ListenOn connection '1433',
loginname 'someusername', hostname ''.
(date/time) ods OS Error : 64, The specified network name is no longer
available.
(date/time) spid137 Error : 1608, Severity: 21, State: 2
(date/time) spid137 A network error was encountered while sending results
to the front end. Check the SQL Server errorlog for more information.

And like this:

(date/time) ods Error : 17805, Severity: 18, State: 0
(date/time) ods Invalid buffer received from client.

This doesn't sound good to me, and the vendor of our software (which is
running on this SQL server) has no answers. What is going on, and are we
going to melt down?

Thanks for any help
