My last mail to Doug was dated 04/29/02 so it must have been a version prior to the one timestamped 4/30/02 3:05 PM, so you’re probably fine. The first error appeared I think when running the NeedUpdate method and had something to do with long field names. The procedure chocked in the dbcGetTableStructure method. The second error was in one of the NeedReindex methods. The third one was the descending indexes and that was when I decided to roll back 6.0b. The last one scared me a bit because it naturally didn’t throw any errors and I didn’t catch it before testing a complete installation with upgrade from prior version.

>While I also had problems with the first 2 (?) releases, the one that has the instupd.app timestamped 4/30/02 3:05 PM seems to be fine. While I'm sure you've shared your problems with Doug and his staff, is this the version you found another problem in? Can you give us a hint what area you think it might be in?

>>Hei Mårten.

>>I had the same bug and reported this to Stonefield. It was confirmed being a bug and Doug fixed it and put out a new version (6.0c with a newer timestamp). Try downloading again.
>>
>>I found three different bugs in three different versions of 6.0c and after the third bug I decided to roll back 6.0b and let someone else do the beta testing… :)

>>
>>>I have been crying for the last couple of hours trying to find a very strange problem in one of my programs when I suddenly see that all my indexes have gone descending and not ascending as they should be...
>>>
>>>The problem seems to have come with Stonefield 6.0c, 6.0b worked fine... I can't even create an ascending index anymore in 6.0c. This is what I'm doing to get the problem:
>>>
>>>- In any table, add an index. And don't click the descending checkbox.
>>>- Save the table.
>>>- Go in again, everything looks good, the index is still ascending.
>>>- Do a Stonefield reindex on the table.
>>>- Open the table, and now the index is descending.
>>>
>>>I then try to do all indexes ascending by unclicking the descending checkbox and then save the table. Do a Stonefield reindex again, and what do I see when I open the table again. All indexes are descending...
>>>
>>>Very annoing, can someone help me out? Any idea what is wrong?
>>>
>>>Thanks in advanced!
