I'm only trying to warn that this autoincrementing feature, might not be what people think it is: a complete replacement to a self made autoincrementing routine. There are a number technical issues where the latter seem to have an advantage over the first. Esspecially when talking about views and difference in local and remote data. Its very likely that this new VFP 8 feature is implemented in a counter in the tableheader, which characteristics are simular to existing incementing key features in other DBMSs. Based on these characteristic I tried to identify the possible problems.
