Thanks for the tips. I was unaware of the dependencies involved. I am using InstallShield Express 3.03. When I dynamically scanned the help operation, it came up with about 15 assorted DLLs and OCXs. I included them all in the install, but there was still no response to F1 or to the help menu. I went back and manually added FoxHHelp.Exe, which was not picked up in the dynamic scan, and the help did start to function, but hung up erratically, forcing me to "end task" in order to unlock it. I suspect that a couple of errors that arose during compilation of the installation program during the decyphering of COM information phase are responsible and have taken that up with InstallShield. I have to get to the bottom of this somehow.
