A long time ago, I went to take an AppDev Class taught by the good Jim Booth - if I'm not mistaken...
Anyway, I found that the AppDev book (VFP3.0) was exactly what I needed to enhance my OOP programming understanding.
I've been to the big DEVCON conferences at an early stage of programming and found that the teachings were overwelming, other than having a good time, the enormity of it all didn't seem to allow for technique enhancement, that is until after recovery from the trip. I think I would get a lot more out of DevCon now - because I would "know what there talking about"...
