We have a customer with several issues running a VFP 6.0 SP-5, Novell v5.1 server and WIn XP clients.
We are experiencing intermittent total network failures of the system for all VFP users (users not logged into VFP do not experience these failures). The server connections are lost and the workstations must be re-booted. The server must be rebooted to re-establish the network connections. Data corruption and file corruption result from these failures. The files must be opened with VFP6 in order to fix the damaged memo files (usually on the customer file or sales order file)
The error messages state that an exception C0000006H in module VFP6R.DLL has occurred.
After multiple failures we will get KERNEL32.DLL errors and the VFP compiled runtime application EXE errors.
After these failures new copies of the VFP6R.dll and the VFP_APP.exe must be copied to the server.
Does anyone have any experience with these problems. If so any information would be most helpful.
