Hi BOb -

Yeah, that was my guess too. I can see how SQL has enough stuff going on to handle identity fields (though my understanding is there is debate among SQL Server people about using them) but if one is doing view based apps in VFP against fox dbcs I would think hitting the dbc with a lot of users for autoincrement fields might hit some limitations pretty quickly ... no?
