>Hi Jerry, I've worked with SuSE 7.0 and SuSE 7.3 (in fact I installed the last one in my notebook). I think SuSE is a greate place to live with. I don't have the ACELERA-8 version because here in Venezuela the product have not arrive yet.

With SuSE or Mandrake + KDevelop + Qt 3 + Qt Designer + PostgreSQL + Open Office 1.0 the way is now open to use Open Source software that is as powerful as their commercial cousins, as easy to use, and has a better TCO. Being more stable and secure is an added bonus!

If I returned to private consulting I could compete with this combo. The only thing I'd charge for was my time. The client would get all their workstations and servers setup and dev tools installed for time alone. They would OWN their data and their data format. Freedom for everyone! Love it!
