Hi all,
I am having kind of a weird problem with a VFP 6.0 SP5 DLL under IIS 5 on a Win2K server box.
I created a DLL to get access to some DBF files. I registered the DLL, set the necessary permissions, etc. Everything *appears* to work OK.
I was about to apply an update to the DLL when I noticed something strange. In the DLL folder on the web server, there was another DLL file that seem to be the one used by the ASP pages.
Here's what happens: My DLL is called "fundata.dll", and is ~60Kb. I clear out the DLL folder on the web server, copy in my file, and register it successfully. I load up one of the ASP pages that uses an object from the DLL, and I get the data I am looking for. No problems at all.
I go back on the web server and look in the DLL folder, I see a file called "fundatar1.dll" with a size of ~3.5 Mb with a newer data/time stamp.
Any idea why IIS (I assume) is making a hugely inflated copy of my DLL?
TIA,
