Chuck,
>It only happens sometimes. Actually, it seems like when you Enter the control very slowly or are on the very edge of the control. If you enter the control quickly it doesn't show both.
Ok, I will have a look into this again.
>I have a PIII 700MHZ with 512MB RAM on Windows XP. The other day when I first looked at your form I had the same problem. I had the same machine with Windows 2000 sp1 or sp2 (can't remember).
Did you clone my machine? <g> I also have a PIII 700MHZ with 512MB RAM and Windows XP. Some weeks ago, I've switched from W2K to XP :)
>It makes my apps look like a "real" Windows app. One thing that would be nice is to be able to add very simple formatting to the text (like add bold effects and add line breaks). I am seeing this more and more in Microsoft apps, especially when you first open an application.
Line breaks can already be added by adding CHR(13) in the ToolTipText/cToolTipText property. In the property sheet, set the property to
="This is line1." + CHR(13) + "This is line2."
I don't think, that I can do further formatting like bold or italic text. But if I find out, I will implement it.
What will be in an upcoming version is, that you can show tooltips that have a title text (which is bold) and a title icon (like the msgbox icons). Additionally, you will be able to set any valid VFP character expression like "THISFORM.GetText()" (in order to have dynamic tooltips) or "'This is just a string.'".
