I have an idea. If you know of such a product please tell me!

I want to display a picture of a room. I want to provide a list of floor coverings and wall colors. When the user of the web site clicks a color or floor covering option, I want to replace part of the image with the the wall color and floor covering. This is not a flood fill. This is a merging of images. In Paint Shop, I can use the "picture tube" tool to drop little images into a bigger image. The floor covering would be one little image dropped onto the bigger image, resulting in a new image on the user's PC.

In other words, if the room image is 320x200, the floor covering would only require about 100 x 200. It would be a jagged shape.

I believe this would require a client side DLL that can knit the images together. I expect the wall color and floor covering images would be some percentage of the entire image size. Hopefully, the small pieces would be sent to the client and integrated there.

This could be used by automotive manufacturers, where a photo of the car could be downloaded and the user could change the wheels without downloading an entire new picture of the car with the wheels. Storing all the various combinations would be a problem too.

Any ideas?
