Indeed . My advice is to simply ignore him and perhaps he'll get bored at not getting the usual emotional responses to thrive on and reinforce whatever twisted need he has for them. Or politely encourage him to act in a more mature manner - maybe it'll stick.. For his sake anyway.

More than likely a teenager who's in need of social skills.
