Hi Bob

When you click on the flooring type at Mannington, it sends an entire new picture. That is exactly what I don't want to see. http://www.scene7.com/platform/infinite_imaging_pc_edition/index.asp is sending the entire picture too. Just try deleting your internet cached files first. When you click on an option, there is a delay while the picture is sent.

It works without plug-ins. I imagined there'd have to be one, since the replacment of the components would be done on the client. Looking in my temporary internet files directory, they have sent the entire new picture for each option I clicked.

I wonder exactly how they replaced the dresser and the shirt. What kind of graphics work would be required?

I'll go ask them. Thanks Bob.

>>Hi all
>>
>>I have an idea. If you know of such a product please tell me!
>>
>>I want to display a picture of a room. I want to provide a list of floor coverings and wall colors. When the user of the web site clicks a color or floor covering option, I want to replace part of the image with the the wall color and floor covering. This is not a flood fill. This is a merging of images. In Paint Shop, I can use the "picture tube" tool to drop little images into a bigger image. The floor covering would be one little image dropped onto the bigger image, resulting in a new image on the user's PC.
>>
>>In other words, if the room image is 320x200, the floor covering would only require about 100 x 200. It would be a jagged shape.
>>
>>I believe this would require a client side DLL that can knit the images together. I expect the wall color and floor covering images would be some percentage of the entire image size. Hopefully, the small pieces would be sent to the client and integrated there.
>>
>>This could be used by automotive manufacturers, where a photo of the car could be downloaded and the user could change the wheels without downloading an entire new picture of the car with the wheels. Storing all the various combinations would be a problem too.
>>
>>Any ideas?
