Hi Richard,

The senerio that your client has asked for is right up VFP alley. Three things you need to look into;

1. Of Cource you want the data on the server but do you want a VFP Database or a SQL Database.

2. Distribute your app to the workstations. This will greatly reduce the amount of traffic on the network.

3. Create an upgrade point on the server to upgrade the distributed app.
This is the step that will make your life easier. I upload my app to this directory and when the workstation runs the app I update it at that time. This allows me to load the update when I'm ready at anytime during the day.
