I use Installshield Express exclusively for my application install sets. I had a lot of issues with the P&D also. The advantages I have found is that Installshield uses the Windows Installer to install and maintain to product. It has a simple user interface also. Express will scan your VB project and develop a list of dependencies for you. It also has what is called Merge Modules which essentially handle the installation of your more importatnt items. MDAC is included in one of these modules. The advantage here is that all you do is click on it to include it. Express also has a very good module for distributing Crytsal Reports componenets. The price may seem a little much, but a smooth install time after time has been worth it to me.
