Made sure I had the latest SP installed and then did an official VFP 7 runtime setup build using InstallShield...installed on target machine and behavior still persists. MY files are build version 9465 now, which appears to be the latest possible...

I will look further into what I might be doing that leaves dangling references to the form or to child properties or whatever... Thanks for your idea, though! At least it got me using InstallShield!
