You pointed than have set the code on the When event, if thats correcto, you must have to move to other event like Interactivechange or Click, on the checkbox properties you can set Value to .F. to initialy have a Logical value and not a zero value.
Maybe you can use instead a listbox or a listview but have its own problems.
