>Sorry to inform you, but the evolutionary path of Fox is at an end.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way, it has worked for years, and will work for years. Nothing changing anytime soon about that.

>If I have psuedo-reasoning, then instead of saying so, show me where taking the time to investigate and learn about .NET is a waste of time and represents flawed thinking.

Ok, it will take 6 months for an advanced developer to learn .NET, most likely a year; when you do learn it and embark out for a job we're going to have whats called supply and demand kicking you in the face. Like I said, all these developers, no real experience. Right now, the training and tutorials available are sub standard, basically, because there aren't enough people that know rookie mistakes, especially in a production environment.

Now, when that year is over, VS.NET 2 will be able. SOAP will most likey be long gone. Your SQL Server skillset will most likely need a complete revision. A year after that our ideas about Operating Systems will be different, just like the applications we build for them.

So after a year and a half of learning, where are you? Square one? I don't think so, but not a whole lot farther. Take a step forward, take two steps back. For those who like teh bleeding edge, thats life. For those who want to make a living, thats stupid.

You are pushing people down an untrodded path and you have no clue where it leads. I think you illustrate my point perfectly by calling my point of view "crap" in regards to how sensitive of a change this is. You are clearly not concerned about anyone but you.

>Do you have kids, mortgage and the like to support?

I have a company and it's staff to support.

>Or, do you still live at home? This I admit is hitting below the belt a bit.

It is below the belt and I have lived in my own place for a while, all while paying 100% of my college tuition.

>Yes Mike, if I were in your situation, and if I had customers who would not like it very much if I were advocating a certain point of view, not only could I be intellectually dishonest, I could afford to be so as well.

Ass.
