Hi Esther,

Welcome aboard! It's great to hear that you are striving to make improvements in the essential area of documentation. Software and documentation are inseparable facets of a high quality product.

It's interesting that Microsoft is planning to introduce context-sensitive "Send feedback" links. While we're on the topic and thinking "out of the box", let me make a suggestion, which I hope you will give serious consideration. Instead of creating what might be perceived as an array of "black holes", why not let these links take people directly to an appropriate reserved thread or section of a discussion forum. You could use any number of different approaches to accomplish this, whether it be on UT, a Wiki, or any other implementation you find convenient.

I realize this would be a radical departure from the way things have been done in the past, but perhaps this is the way of the future. We all benefit from an open exchange of ideas, and given the choice between open discussion and blind submissions to black holes, there simply is no contest. Demonstrating the leadership to establish an open dialog with their customers would be a very great credit to Microsoft.
