i had this problem when i first tried making websites and setting them up with search engines. the problem is that there are so many already out there that may be similar in description. make sure that you have meta descriptions of your site and also search under specific word, ie in the search box put in the web address or the exact description of your website including the word ireland so as to narrow it down, this will make sure that your site has been registered properly, sometimes it may take a few day for the registration to come through. there are a number of sites that say that they will be able to get you to the top of the listings but i don't put too much faith in them personally. short of paying the search engine i don't think that you can guarentee that your site will come up in the first page
