JVP: Steve comes up here and starts spouting off about how it is not worthwhile to make ANY investments in .NET.

Huh? Where, please, did I say this?

Stop fabricating.

From the very start, I am advocating a proper evaluation of technical risk and, in particular, the timing of investment. More to the point, I have questioned many false statements by you that involve no less than the redefinition of economic terms, forecasts made without supporting data, personal innuendo, and misinterpretation of history.

JVP: However, to begin casting issues about the ethics of others, including my best friend Rod and others

I don't question Rod's ethics. I've questioned only yours.

Stop fabricating.

JVP: I seek to provide balance to what has been a very unbalanced discussion.

Admirable. Considering the volukme of published material on dot net, and the balance of pro versus con, it's notable that asking a few sensible questions and "putting the smelly fish on the table", as it were, elicits from you such noble and well considered responses.

>I agree that folks should make up their own minds. I simply have issues when Steve comes up here and starts spouting off about how it is not worthwhile to make ANY investments in .NET. That might be fine for him. However, to begin casting issues about the ethics of others, including my best friend Rod and others, then I start having issues with what I see as a prejudiced decision. Folks are looking to make an informed decision and should have the benefit of un-biased decision making. I seek to provide balance to what has been a very unbalanced discussion.
