I spent a lot of time on Google too looking for something on this too. I figured I was missing the obvious, but it looks like this piece of MS technology actually 100% does not work. :(
I've done hidden form fields and querystring stuff for state management too, but I was thinking I was being clever by hiding things inside the HTTP header. SOAP does this, why can't I?
