What would be a good methodology for doing an insert (ASP or ASP.NET) and then getting back the identity column ala MSSQL's @@Identity value? I have an app where I need to insert the data and then make a change to it 2 pages later and I don't want to carry around all of that data if I don't have to. A workaround is to store the data in a seperate table and then pick it up from there and stuff it into the final table later, but there has got to be a good way to get the "identity" value from a DBF, right?
