Thanks! Took 2 weeks to get there so far with the control. I started a designer 2 years ago in VFP and found it to be too slow in VFP because of object containership speed issues. Although, it looked cool, too slow for my blood. Although, most people thought it looked pretty good. There were limitations with using VFP labels like 72 point max when scaling. However, I got swamped on a couple of big projects and it was shoved to back burner.

I plan to market the control for any language that it will work in like VFP, VB, C++, Delphi, etc.

I hadn't planned on initially offering source code. But I may follow the model of maybe DBI. I'm not sure yet. Always, a sensitive subject.

Well, I guess I have to make it affordable or it won't sell a lot of copies. So it will have to be under $10,000 per license. <bg> I've looked at some similar controls and have talked to several people and I am guessing in the $300 - $400 per license per developer with royalty free distribution rights for the basic version. As I add more features and enhancements, I am considering different price levels depending on features. I also haven't decided how to handle my Report Engine that handles processing any VFP FRX report and pumping it into the control with the exception of OLE objects. I do plan to handle images though. That part of the code has taken quite a bit longer in reverse engineering time and development. WHEW! Lots of stuff to handle. FLOAT WITH OVERFLOW! What a pain. I still don't have that one perfected yet.

I also don't know how many features I plan to add before releasing V1.0. I have a lot of ideas yet like an ENVELOPE Engine for the control and what ActiveX Events I plan to expose. However, I am looking for input from the VFP community for more ideas as well. I'm trying to make those little PITA reporting things much much simpler. Say for example a property to automatically turn on and off the Green Bar look for the whole report or on a page by page basis, Automatic page number placement, etc. So you can email your Wish List and we'll see what can be done. Basically, anything can be achieved it's a matter of time! <g>
