if you wanted to know whether lots of little print jobs will cause i problem, i think not. I have an application in a catalogue mail order house.
one part of the application deals with the printing of "Packing Notes", this is printed on an HP 5 Si MX laser and is essentially a combination of a label for a parcel, a picking list that gets put inside a parcel and an office copy of this which is retained, all on 1 A4 sheet.

My client will typically print these in batches. some batches will be as small as 1 but can go to 2000. My VFP app treats each single packing note as a separte report. i am essentially scanning through a master table then doing a report form XXX on that one record, hence producing 1000's of reports

NB they have never had any problems with this approach in many years of operation.

they are running win 98 on this PC - nothing fancy
