- Application object with predefined PEMs.
- Application security
- Toolbars
- Data Entry forms. Specifically, in the VFP frameworks, when you create a data entry form, you get all the standard controls for previous, next, save, find, etc and the functionality for making them work.
- Prebuilt textboxes for dates, numbers, etc.
If the .NET framework did all this, Kevin McNeish would have no reason to port Mere Mortals to C#.
