Opera 6.0.2 for Windows runs beautifully. I am using it now, on my W2K box. It is VERY fast and it has not crashed once.
On my SuSE 8.0 box at home I downloaded the static 6.0.2 Beta Qt binary. It is also VERY VERY fast, but it does close itself without warning (probably a crash with core dump, but I don't save core dumps) on occasions. It closes often enough that I returned to the Latest Mozilla release, which performs flawlessly and is nearly as fast as Opera on most websites. FTP download speed between the two is about the same. I frequent a National Weather Service radar site that display a java loop of the latest 150 minutes of radar. Konqueror 3.0 usually won't display the loop but will display the lastest image. Opera is afflicted with the same malady. Mozilla, on the other hand, handles all the java or image loops perfectly.
Looks like Qt static binary Opera 6.0.2 Beta has to simmer a little longer before it is ready.
