Julie,
> I am a new Mere Mortals user. I already have a project and want to start using the framework classes. The first thing I want to do is create a business object that opens my views. Which is a good control to use and should I just add the class libraries I need to my current project to start using them. I am very clear on how to begin a new project just having trouble with wrapping it around an old project. Thanks as always.
Hey there...good to hear from you!
If I understand you correctly, you want to add Mere Mortals business objects to a non-Mere Mortals project? If that's the case, then you need to add all of the class libraries and other files specified in the MM Developer's Guide under the topic "Creating a COM Server Project". I realize you're not creating a COM server, but it's the same list of files that you need.
After that, I recommend that you create an application-specific "ABizObj" subclass of the Framework's KBizObj class and store it in an application-specific library (such as ABizness.vcx). You can then create your custom business objects by subclassing from ABizObj.
